On 10pm of October 30th, 2018, I was in the studio of TV Asahi to appear on a TV program called “Abema Prime.”
There I saw Nisimura Hiroyuki –the administrator of a textboard which caused me to get in flaming.
Nishimura clearly states in his book “Reasons why I gave up 2ch” that though he was ordered to pay compensation for damage as the administrator of the textboard by court, he refused it.
Till this day, he manages the textboard.
Abema TV is a broadcasting company which people can watch their programs on the Internet using computers and smartphones unlike other broadcasting companies. It is run by Cyber Agent and TV Asahi.
This allows us to exchange opinions abut sensitive topics because there is little influence by Broadcasting Act and sponsors.
I decided to appear on the TV program because I wanted to question Nishimura about his legal responsibilities directly.
However, the script said that the main theme of the TV program was to talk about the history and merits and demerits of the Internet. This means that I had to discuss from third person’s view, not as the person involved.
So, I decided to ignore the script and question Nishimura about his legal responsibilities. It was a live broadcast.
I asked Nishimura what he thinks about the fact that there are victims of troubles on his textboard. I also asked him if there is anything he should do as an administrator.
I don’t care what is said about me on the Internet. It’s just that there are things I have to say.
Sometimes people call me “flaming lawyer.” It doesn’t matter if I get myself in flaming. I’m a lawyer. There are things I have to say.
In this book, I will frankly tell you what I have to say. I’m prepared to accept any criticism.
According to the data collected in 2015, more than half of the Japanese own smartphones. This means that various people uses the Internet.
The Internet is of great use in researching, but it can be very dangerous depending on how you use it.
I hope to make the Internet a better place by sharing my experiences.
At last, I would like to thank all those who helped me publish this book.
