Just 9 years later, he had already stepped away from professional football at only 29. Since then, he’s discovered a completely new path in life: embracing the Wim Hof Method, one of the world’s most demanding endurance disciplines.
He climbed Mount Sněžka, the highest peak in the Czech Republic (1,630 meters above sea level), wearing no T-shirt and only shorts.
🗣� Schürrle: “In the final minutes, I couldn’t feel my body anymore and had to dig deep within myself to keep moving. It’s an experience I’ll never forget. Minus 19 degrees, 100 km/h winds hitting our faces, with heavy snow and rain. What I realized is this: my body and I are far stronger than I ever imagined, if I commit my mind and soul, anything is possible.”
